  They were so rediculously slow. We were the first to be seated after the restaurant opened and it took us an hour to get our salad. It took a total of 4 hours for dinner and we never even got desert but had it boxed to go because they wouldn't let us cancel it (we ordered the 3 course dinner, selecting all our courses at the beginning of the meal). We asked 4 times to have our water refilled before the server finally did it. We asked 4 times for butter and repeatedly for bread and steak knives. Our one drink order took an hour. We weren't offered anything for our inconvenience. The restaurant was far too busy and they were severely understaffed. They were out of bar glasses. The bartender came through and snatched them off of everyone's table and said they couldn't make anyone's drinks because they were out of glasses. She also complained about the server not delivering the drinks or picking up the glasses. So if you are that understaffed why would a restaurant seat that many people? Why wouldn't you offer something for our time? Why would the owner think that 4 hours is an acceptable time for someone to have to wait to get through a simple meal? The server apologized repeatedly and the host apologized but nothing was done by either. The drink order we canceled because we wanted to leave and it was an hour late came anyway since the waitress didn't cancel it. So the host told us we could have it free but it was still on our bill. But we weren't waiting another half hour to find the host because they were nowhere to be seen when we needed someone.

  Love this place. Great atmosphere, great drinks, good English style food. Great space for large private parties upstairs. You can feel the attention to detail and care taken to create this authentic English bar and restaurant.
